Job Description

The Barre Unified Union School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to work with our dynamic student body in the Extended Learning Center. The primary goal of the School Social Worker is to implement programs and provide services that enhance the social and emotional adjustment to school of at‑risk students and to mobilize family, school and community resources to enable effective student learning and academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a concentration in social work, guidance or its equivalent.
• Holds or is eligible to hold a valid Vermont Professional Educator's license.
• Holds a Handle with Care certification.
• Proven ability to communicate and work effectively and respectfully with students, faculty/staff, parents, administrators and the community required.

**The District is currently in negotiations for the upcoming contracts. The salary indicated in this posting is for the FY25/26 school year and will be updated as soon as negotiations are concluded**
