Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a social worker to support Veterans and their families with psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and care coordination. The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, state licensure, and English language proficiency.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), with potential loan repayment up to $200,000 over an eligibility period of one to five years, pending review by the VA Education Loan Repayment Services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from CSWE-accredited school.
• Licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level.
• English language proficiency required for appointment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and formulate treatment plans.
• Coordinate with Veterans and families and with care teams.
• Provide counseling and support to Veterans and families across settings.
• Assist with discharge planning and care coordination as appropriate.
