Position Summary
As a Social Worker in our Early Intervention Program, you’ll provide service coordination, direct treatment, and family support in center, community, and home-based settings. You’ll work as part of a trans-disciplinary team supporting families and promoting healthy development for children from birth to age three.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver developmental treatment and family training per each child’s IFSP
• Provide service coordination and short/long-term counseling as needed
• Conduct multidisciplinary evaluations and assess social-emotional development
• Facilitate parent support groups and parenting education sessions
• Collaborate with team members and refer for consultation when needed
• Document services and maintain compliance with state and agency regulations
• Perform initial home visits and assessments for new referrals
• Maintain licensure and continue professional development in line with RI Early Intervention Competencies
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in social work (or related field)
• LICSW – Required
• 2–5 years’ experience with infants/toddlers with disabilities and their families
• Eligible for certification through the RI Board of Registration for Social Workers
• Experience in home-based treatment and parent-child interaction assessments preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) strongly preferred
• Experience with diverse populations and immigrant communities is a plus
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
