Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA is seeking a Social Worker-Counselor-Lic Indep to provide behavioral health and care management services within the hospital setting, including assessments and psychotherapy for individuals and families.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, current Massachusetts LICSW or LMHC, and BLS; EMR experience preferred. A $7,500 new hire sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

We are searching for a talented Social Worker-Counselor-Lic Indep

*$7,500 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Evening shift with weekend and 2-3 holiday per year rotation; 3:30pm - 12:00am

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under the direction of the Manager of Social Work, performs a wide variety of duties in the hospital setting providing behavioral health and complex care management services to Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system. Duties include conducting behavioral health assessments and providing behavioral health treatment including individual and family psychotherapy utilizing brief treatment modalities. Serves as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders. Collaborates and coordinates with complex/chronic care management and longitudinal community support services.

• A Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university.
• Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience with electronic medical record documentation preferred.
• BLS certification is required within three (3) months of hire.

• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
