Qualifications

• Social work principles, techniques, and practices applied to casework, group work and community problems.
• Knowledge of psychosocial, socioeconomic and behavioral problems and their treatment.

• Knowledge of laws, regulations and policies governing the program.
• Basic medical terminology, disease processes and their treatment.
• Skills in establishing rapport with offenders.
• Skills in assessing psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological aspects of problems.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate offenders’ situations and develop social histories and service plans.
• Develop community resources to provide offender services.
• Facilitate parenting classes for offenders.
• Conduct independent assessments to identify needs and plan treatment.
• Apply social work theories and knowledge of services to offender care.
• Follow facility policies and collaborate with other professionals to coordinate services.
• Work with offenders, families, and treatment teams in plan development and implementation.
• Coordinate with DSS, court system, Probation/Parole Officers and others.
• Perform other duties as needed.
