TITLE:
School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor
2025-2026 School Year
POSITION SUMMARY :
To provide direct support to students with social and emotional barriers in order to deliver Framingham Public Schools’ high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the achievement gap among subgroups within the schools.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current and Valid MA DESE license as a School Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor. Please note that licensure requirements are subject to change at the discretion of DESE.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or similar area of study required. LMHC, LCSW, or LICSW preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are preferred. Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
