Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Social Worker Administrative Assistant to support the Social Worker with diverse administrative tasks in a patient-focused clinic.

The position is part-time (30 hours/week across three 10-hour days, 7:00am–3:30pm) with a pay range of $19–$26 per hour depending on qualifications. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, PTO, ESB, retirement matching, and more.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills required for patient and team interactions.
  • Clinical excellence and attention to detail in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to collaborate with care teams to support patient care.
  • Basic computer skills for forms and records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Social Worker with administrative tasks.
  • Maintain patient ride list and address ride issues.
  • Update MSP forms and file in patient records.
  • Ensure Health Care Proxy is on file for patients.
  • Assist with setting up transient dialysis treatments when traveling.
  • Complete patient consent forms with the social worker.
  • Support nurse manager, dietitian with other tasks as needed.
  • Answer phones and assist with secretarial tasks.

The Social Worker Administrative Assistant

will assist the Social Worker with a variety of administrative tasks.

Schedule

Part-time, 30 hours/week @ three 10-hour days, shifts are 7:00am-3:30pm.

Compensation

Pay range from $19-$26 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

  • Patient Transportation: Update ride list. Assist with patient ride issues.

  • MSP: Assist in updating quarterly MSP form with patients. File form in patient's medical record.

  • Maintain updated demographic database.

  • Ensure Health Care Proxy on file with each patient.

  • Assist with setting up transient dialysis treatments for patients when traveling.

  • Assist Social Worker in completing patient consent forms.

  • Other tasks as assigned by social worker, nurse manager, dietitian.

  • Filing as needed.

  • Answer phones as needed.

  • Assist Unit Secretary with secretarial tasks as needed.

  • Cover for secretary in her absence.

Qualifications

Education/Training
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • Three to six months related experience and/or training.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.

  • Familiarity with a computer, Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
