Job Summary

MECA is seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our Early Intervention team supporting children from birth to age 3 with diagnosed developmental conditions. This role provides meaningful, relationship-based services delivered directly in home and community settings, helping families build skills, access resources, and support healthy child development during critical early years.

This is a highly impactful position ideal for clinicians who are passionate about pediatric social work, early intervention, family counseling, and community-based practice.

What You Will Do

As an Early Intervention Social Worker, you will:

  • Provide social-emotional developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers within the family context
  • Deliver individualized counseling and family support services in home and community settings
  • Conduct home visits to assess parent-child interaction and environmental needs
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations and intervention strategies
  • Coordinate community, medical, and supportive resources for families
  • Participate in IFSP meetings, transition planning, and interdisciplinary team collaboration
  • Complete timely, accurate evaluation reports and daily documentation
  • Support families in achieving developmental and functional goals
  • Collaborate with therapists and early intervention professionals across disciplines

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work (Required)
  • Active New Mexico Social Work Licensure (Required)

Work Environment

  • Ensure timely completion of documentation and service delivery
