Summary of Position: Student worker will provide administrative, organizational, program development, and classroom support to a faculty member in the Social Work program. This position provides an opportunity for a social work student to gain hands‑on experience with program development, community engagement, service‑learning, student organization support, and the day‑to‑day work of a faculty member.

The student assistant will play an important role in supporting the development and organization of a study‑away program involving partnership with an Indigenous community, coordinating a personal hygiene, baby product, and backpack donation drive, assisting with classroom activities, supporting a Social Work student organization, and completing general administrative and organizational tasks.

Position Requirements:

• Work Study Only - Student in the Social Work Program
• Experience working with Indigenous populations.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel or willingness to learn.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with development, organization, and preparation of a Social Work Study Away/ASL program.
• Assist with organizing materials, schedules, logistics, communication and other preparatory tasks.
• Conduct basic research and organizational tasks related to the program and community partnership.
• Help maintain organized records, resources, and materials related to the program.
• Support preparation of materials for the program.
• Assist with classroom activities for social work practice/lab course.
• Help prepare materials for the course.
• Assist with organizing classroom supplies and resources.
• Serve as a liaison between faculty member and Social Work Association (registered student org)
• Miscellaneous Duties as Assigned
