Job summary

Chaminade University of Honolulu invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Social Work (Non-Tenure Track). The successful candidate will contribute to scholarship, participate in university service, and support culturally diverse Hawai‘i student populations.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Social Work or a related field; ABD candidates with progress toward completion may be considered.
• MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Licensure: Must be licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Social Worker in Hawai‘i.
• Two years of teaching experience in a university/college setting.
• Demonstrated potential for scholarly research.
• Experience with culturally and ethnically diverse students, especially Hawai‘i’s local culture.

Responsibilities

• Teach 21 credit hours per academic year.
• Provide comprehensive academic advising.
• Participate in University, School, and Department committees.
• Participate in accreditation processes.
• Contribute to program assessment, curriculum development, and grant writing.
• Develop scholarship (publications, conference presentations).
• Other duties as assigned by Dean within the Faculty Handbook.
