Northwell Health's Norwalk Hospital is seeking a full-time Social Worker Lead to join the Behavioral Health team in Norwalk, Connecticut. The successful candidate provides clinical guidance and supervision to clinicians and students, manages documentation and regulatory compliance, and collaborates with management to grow the program.

The role requires 3–5 years of LCSW experience with prior supervisory responsibilities; CBT/DBT/EMDR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of experience as an LCSW.
• Must have prior experience leading, supervising or coordinating clinical staff.
• Preference for certification in CBT, DBT or EMDR.

Responsabilités

• Provides oversight, supervision, training and guidance to LMSWs, LPCA's, LCSWs, LPCs and students in assigned clinical program(s).
• Performs chart audits to ensure CMS and regulatory compliance and maintains documentation standards.
• Conducts initial assessments/intakes to establish therapeutic relationships and gather essential treatment information.
• Performs clinical evaluations, crisis evaluations and risk assessments, coordinating interventions and safety plans as needed.
• Delivers psychoeducation, crisis intervention and individual/family/group therapy to support patient stability.
• Collaborates on treatment goals and care plans, guiding disposition or referral.
• Maintains current knowledge of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities; applies clinical reasoning and diagnosis.
