Job summary

Linktree Pty is seeking a Social Video Editor to produce platform-native, high-volume videos across Reels, Shorts, and YouTube. You will own edits from shoot to delivery, adapt content for each channel, and iterate based on performance data.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of social video editing, a strong portfolio across major formats, and expert-level skills in Premiere Pro and CapCut, with knowledge of After Effects. This role emphasizes speed, storytelling, and production discipline.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years editing social or digital video for a brand, agency, publisher, creator, or your own audience.
• Portfolio of platform-native work across Reels, Shorts, YouTube, or comparable formats.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and CapCut; working knowledge of After Effects or similar motion tools.
• Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, retention, timing, and sound design.
• Ability to turn imperfect footage into clear, compelling stories without heavy production.
• Comfort with high-volume edit queues, templates, and versioning.
• Excellent project organization and proactive communication.
• Test-and-learn mindset using performance data and new tools to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Editing and post-production: Own the process end-to-end from conception to final delivery.
• Platform-native adaptation: Create distinct cuts for Reels, Shorts, YouTube, and other surfaces.
• Hooks and retention: Build openings and retention drivers to earn attention.
• Story shaping: Create clear, compelling social-first narratives.
• High-volume versioning: Produce multiple edits, aspect ratios, durations, and variants.
• Motion and graphics: Lightweight motion treatments, titles, subtitles, and graphics.
• Creative quality: Exports meet brand, platform, accessibility, and technical standards.
• Project and asset management: Feedback, file organization, version control, and exports.
• Creative testing and partnership: Collaborate with channel managers to test variants and apply findings.
