Job summary

Global University Systems (GUS) seeks a Video Editor to produce high-volume social video content across our educational brands and internal teams. You will create videos and training materials at scale, working with design, marketing, training, and operations to ensure engaging and clear content.

This remote-friendly role requires 2+ years of video editing and motion graphics, a strong portfolio, and Canva proficiency; Premiere Pro or CapCut is a plus. Travel for key milestones may be needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, Digital Media, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of professional video editing and motion graphics experience.
• Portfolio showcasing a range of short and long-form content.
• Experience creating social media video content and advertisements.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Previous work in a creative agency or fast-paced marketing environment is advantageous.
• Advanced skills with Canva video editor are expected.

Responsibilities

• Train/educational content creation and editing
• Produce social-first short-form videos from scripts and briefs
• Edit and scale videos using templates and brand guidelines
• Maintain/update Canva templates for multiple institutions/campaigns
• Export videos in correct formats/ratios for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LMS
• Collaborate with copywriters/designers/stakeholders to iterate on feedback

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, Digital Media, or equivalent

Certification in Video Editing, Motion Graphics, or relevant software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro)
