Position: Social Studies Teacher, Probationary

Eastchester High School is seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to fill the probationary position of High School Social Studies Teacher for the 2025-26 school year.

Requirements:

• NYS certification: Social Studies 7-12
• NYSED Fingerprint Clearance*

Employment Terms:

• 10-month, full-time position (1.0 FTE)
• Salary range in accordance with the Eastchester Teachers Association (ETA) negotiated salary schedule; $61,939 - $85,725, step placement contingent upon prior related experience.

*Fingerprint Clearance: The SAVE Law, effective July 1, 2001, requires a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification and prospective employees, as mandated by Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c, and 3035, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations. The New York State Education Department's Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability (OSPRA) oversees this process.
