This posting is for a full-time,Social Studies teaching position at F. Niel Postlethwait Middle School. Dual certification in Special Education is desired.

Individuals who will be eligible or possess Middle Level Social Studies certification are encouraged to apply. Candidates must apply online.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must meet State ofDelawarecertification requirements for Middle Level Social Studies.Successful candidates must provide evidence of successful PRAXIS II scores or a valid out of state teaching license.

Out of State Candidates: An educator applying for a license in the State of DE with less than 1 year of experience will be placed on an Initial License. Applicants withone completed year of experience, but less than 4 years of experience will receive an Initial License.The State of Delaware DOE may recognize standard certificates from all other states as a means of eligibility.

SALARY: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules , based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
