Responsibilities

• Assess student learning using traditional and alternative strategies aligned with the curriculum.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and all other stakeholders.
• Engage in planned continuous professional quality improvement for self and school.
• Use instructional strategies that promote critical, creative, and evaluative thinking.
• Employ instructional materials that reflect each student's culture, learning styles, and needs.
• Fulfill contract terms and adhere to ethics and regulations of Florida and Broward County.
• Provide a positive learning environment supporting intellectual, personal, and social development.
• Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and plan, implement, and evaluate instruction and assessment.
• Establish classroom management that maintains discipline and engages students in learning.
• Collaborate with peers, parents, community and other stakeholders for student improvement.
• Integrate appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Complete LEP training endorsement if assigned to LEP students.
• Keep school records and report as required by law.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
