Responsibilities

• Teaches District approved curriculum.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Plans a program of study with varied instructional techniques and media.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students.
• Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Assists administration in implementing policies and rules.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and communicates objectives to students.
• Assists in diagnosing learning disabilities with district specialists.
• Evaluates pupils' growth and maintains records and progress reports.
