NEW BERN HIGH in Craven County Schools seeks a qualified Social Studies Teacher to join our учебной team. The role requires delivering instruction aligned to the NC Standards and serving students in grades under the 10-month calendar.

The teacher reports to the principal and will engage in PLCs, parent communication, and ongoing professional development. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and a North Carolina Professional Educator's License.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Must hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License.
• Experience applying NC standards and social studies curriculum is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Teaches North Carolina Standard Course of Study/ Common Core and Essential Standards for the assigned grade.
• Plans, organizes and presents instruction and learning environments to promote student growth.
• Maintains student progress records and communicates with families and counselors.
• Collaborates with administrators and PLCs to improve instructional practices.
• Delivers instruction in a brisk, engaging pace and manages classroom behavior.
• Selects instructional materials and maintains inventory as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
