Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a High School Social Studies teacher for a pro-rated 200-day contract beginning October 1, 2026. The candidate must hold or be eligible for WV Professional Teaching Certificate in Social Studies 5-AD (or History 5-AD) and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication as well as organizational skills.

The role requires ability to collaborate with administrators, staff, and parents, and to manage classroom and program responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS: Must pass a background check; Mandatory training sessions.

SALARY: Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
