Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a Teacher to provide engaging learning experiences in core subjects. The teacher reports to the Campus Principal and aligns with district and TEA guidelines to drive student growth.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate; Elementary must include Texas Reading Academy completion. ESL certification is preferred; emphasis on technology-driven instruction and collaboration with special education staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Use data to plan and implement instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment reflecting individual needs (gifted, bilingual/ESL, 504, etc.).
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
• Cooperate with staff to plan and implement instructional goals and methods per district requirements.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides/volunteers in the classroom.
• Utilize technology to strengthen teaching and learning processes.
