Job summary

Field & Stream is seeking a Social Media Designer/Video Editor II to turn reporting, photography, and video into distinctive social stories. You will own the design and production of Instagram carousels and albums, and create short-form video enhancements, motion graphics, thumbnails, and platform-specific adaptations.

The role requires fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud, a keen eye for typography and imagery, and the ability to move quickly from concept to publish-ready assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience designing social-first content and editing short-form video.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
• A portfolio or links to published work are required with every application.
• Demonstrated ability to design for Instagram feed and Stories and adapt assets for other social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Concept, design, and produce Instagram carousels and photo albums that tell editorial stories.
• Select images, refine concise on-card copy, and build layouts with a strong opening hook.
• Edit short-form video and create motion graphics, thumbnails, and cover art.
• Adapt stories for Instagram Stories and platform-specific placements.
• Collaborate with editors, photographers, and producers to translate briefs into publish-ready creative.
• Develop new visual formats and iterate using audience feedback.
• Manage multiple daily deadlines and ensure export specifications before delivery.
