Job summary

Middle Flint Health & Wellness is seeking a full-time Day Center Assistant in Americus, GA. You will work with groups of up to 10 individuals at the Day Center and smaller groups in the community according to ISP plans.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (or an associate degree) and a Georgia driver’s license. Prior social/direct care experience is preferred. The role involves transportation routes and daily progress documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and one year experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human service setting
• Or an associate degree in a related field
• Valid Georgia driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Work with a group of up to 10 individuals at the Day Center and smaller groups in the community in accordance with their ISP plans, along with other assigned tasks.
• Assist with needs as outlined in the ISP.
• Complete assigned transportation routes daily, which may include multiple morning and afternoon routes, as needed.
• Complete contracts in the community as assigned.
• Promote a safe learning environment.
• Document and track progress made throughout the day.
• Complete training as it is assigned.

Minimum Entry Salary *: $14.00 / hour

Location: Americus, GA

Services Area/Programs: Sumter DD Center

Description of Duties:

Shift Needs: 7:30 am-3:30 pm

• Work with a group of up to 10 individuals at the Day Center and smaller groups in the community in accordance with their ISP plans, along with other assigned tasks.
• Assist with needs as outlined in the ISP.
• Complete assigned transportation routes daily, which may include multiple morning and afternoon routes, as needed.
• Complete contracts in the community as assigned.
• Promote a safe learning environment.
• Document and track progress made throughout the day.
• Complete training as it is assigned.

Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED and one year experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human service setting or associate degree in a related field or one year experience at the lower level or position equivalent (SSS010). Valid Georgia driver’s license is also required.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 1 year experience in a social services setting
