Job summary

Majestic Care of Saint Anthony is seeking a Social Services Assistant to support the social services team and residents. You will identify needs and coordinate with community leaders to meet resident needs, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely communication.

Ideal candidates bring empathy, strong communication, and a patient, professional demeanor. Prior long-term care experience is preferred; CNA/SRNA/STNA credentials are a plus, with Majestic Difference benefits including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Social Services Designee, preferred, but not required.
• Experience working in a long-term care setting or the aging population preferred.
• CNA/SRNA/STNA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep accurate, updated, organized records after every resident visit.
• Answer questions about benefits or refer residents to the correct organization.
• Review and submit reports regarding resident problems.
• Interview residents or family members for complaints; report abuse or rights violations promptly.
• Work with the director and department leaders to address resident needs and complaints.
• Interview family members to determine which services are needed.
• Demonstrate empathy, courtesy, and professional behavior to all residents and staff.
• Attend mandatory trainings and keep policies and procedures updated.
• Perform other tasks as assigned within scope of practice.
