Description
The Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) provides services and programs to promote family self-sufficiency, ensure child and vulnerable adult safety, and involve families and community partners in decision-making.
We are seeking a Part Time (less than 100 hours/month) Social Service Worker I, committed to helping families and supporting community well-being. This role requires professionalism, integrity, and the ability to perform at a high standard to serve vulnerable citizens. It demands maturity, self-discipline, and flexibility for overtime work.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in office, residential, or community settings, including home visits. Emergency response may be required at any time, with risks of physical harm.
Probationary Period: 9 months initial and promotional probation, as per KRS 18A.111.
