Job summary

Envive Healthcare in Beech Grove, IN seeks a Director of Social Services to oversee social work programs for adult and geriatric residents, assess admission needs, and coordinate plans with the care team to ensure meaningful placement and service delivery.

Candidates should have leadership experience in a large LTC setting and hold a BSW/MSW or related bachelor’s degree, with at least one year in social work.

• Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors in planning social services for adult and geriatric residents
• Plans social services programs for residents with therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious disease needs
• Follows up on admission inquiries, evaluates prospective residents to determine facility placement

Director of Social Services Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning social services programs




• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to plan social services programs for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable




• Promptly follows-up on admission inquiries, evaluates and assesses the needs of prospective residents to determine appropriateness of facility placement

Director of Social Services Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as a Director of Social Work in a large LTC setting preferred




• BSW or MSW preferred, or Bachelors degree in related field




• At least one year experience in Social Work field required
