Job Description

This position is currently at the proposal stage and is awaiting award.

International SOS seeks qualified individuals for the role of Social Service Associate for the Sailor Assistance and Intercept for Life (SAIL) Program, part of the Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP). The FFSP serves active duty members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, their eligible family members, and certain other military personnel and retirees as specified.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain current schedules for SAIL Case Managers and Contract Remote SAIL Clinical Counselors, utilizing FFSMIS for appointments and reminders.
  2. Manage daily scheduling, notify clients of absences, and reschedule as needed.
  3. Track and maintain service metrics for involved personnel.
  4. Forward and follow up on initial paperwork, ensuring proper documentation in FFSMIS.
  5. Provide administrative support, including scheduling, data entry, meeting attendance, minute-taking, and client screening.
  6. Research and validate SAIL resource referrals, update demographic records, and ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations with excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer and office automation software.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of autonomous work.

For those meeting Tier I provider qualifications (master’s or doctoral degree in relevant fields), additional clinical responsibilities include assessment, safety planning, case management, and collaboration with health providers, under supervision, with independent licensure within 36 months.

Required Work Experience

  • Experience providing administrative support in medical or social services settings.
  • Experience in advocacy or case management.
  • Experience working with military or family programs; understanding of military lifestyle preferred.
  • Strong communication, assessment, data management, and advocacy skills.
  • Knowledge of resources and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to operate within Navy FFSP guidelines; knowledge of FFSMIS and Microsoft 365 is desirable.

Additional Information

Pay ranges from $18 to $40 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid time off, and bonuses. International SOS is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable laws.
