Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an attorney to represent clients before the Social Security Administration across all appeal levels. The role involves drafting briefs and memoranda, coordinating with case managers, and maintaining proactive client communication.

Collaborate with supervising attorneys, attend strategy sessions, and meet deadlines using Prevail and ERE systems. Opportunity to engage in Federal USDC work over time. Licensure in Michigan preferred but not required initially.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Michigan and in good standing.
• SSA representation experience preferred but not required.
• Strong writing, communication, and time management skills.
• Commitment to disability rights and client-centered advocacy.
• Strong analytical, technical, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients before the SSA at all levels: Initial Application, Reconsideration, ALJ Hearings, and Appeals Council.
