4LegsGood, a Detroit-based growth and creative studio, seeks a hands-on creator to shape social content across brands. You’ll concept, shoot, edit, and refine videos, captions, and scripts with an editor’s eye for craft and strategy.
You’ll collaborate with strategists and designers while owning the end-to-end content cycle. You’ll be a maker who stays ahead of platform trends, writes clearly, and thrives with autonomy in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
If you actually enjoy making social content — the concepting, the shooting, the editing, the refinement — this role will make sense to you. We're looking for someone who thinks in ideas, moves quickly, and can shape short-form content that's intentional, culturally fluent, and creatively interesting. You'll work across multiple brands at 4LegsGood, translating strategy into content pet people actually watch.
4LegsGood is a Detroit-based growth and creative studio dedicated to pet brands. We believe creative-led performance is the engine of modern brand growth. Strategy, storytelling, and execution aren't separate functions here — they're one integrated system. We work with ambitious brands that want to show up online in the very busy pet space with clarity, intelligence, and creative intent. No jargon, no filler, no performative cleverness. Just work that works.
You're the maker. You're the person who takes a brief, a brand idea, or a loose concept and turns it into content that moves. You'll own the full cycle: concepting, shooting, editing, writing, refining. Your work feeds our growth system — content that performs is content that's rooted in strategy and executed with craft. You'll collaborate with strategists, designers, and account leads, but you'll have real creative autonomy over how ideas come to life on screen.
Concept and develop creative ideas for social content across mediums: Pitch Reels, TikToks, and other formats that feel native to the platform and true to the brand. Turn abstract strategy into concrete creative in video, meme, and other graphic formats.
You're a maker.
You genuinely enjoy the craft — filming, editing, experimenting, refining. You have experience shooting thoughtfully on your phone and have a visual or editorial background (photography, journalism, design, motion, video).
You’re digitally native.
You’re a social media consumer and producer. You’re on top of the latest trends, watching brands and creators that are driving the social conversation. You understand how Instagram, TikTok, and Shorts actually work — not in theory, but in practice. You know what performs and why, and you know how to make content that takes full advantage of the rapidly evolving social landscape.
You communicate clearly.
You write well, ask questions early, and give context without being prompted. You don't wait until the last minute to clarify something.
You're organized without making it a personality.
You can juggle multiple brands, calendars, and deadlines without losing track or making noise about it.
You're collaborative and independent.
You enjoy working with smart people, but you don't need hand-holding. You can take a brief and run.
You're local-ish.
We'd love someone in Metro Detroit who can join for shoots when needed. Remote won't work for this one.
Familiarity with pet or lifestyle brands. Comfort giving light direction to on-camera talent.
We move quickly, but we don't confuse speed with sloppiness. There will be fast turnarounds, shifting priorities, and days where you touch several brands. But you'll also have real creative latitude, the chance to test ideas, and the satisfaction of seeing your work go live often.
We care about craft and clarity. We don't hide the ball. We solve problems together, then go build things. We give people autonomy and expect them to use it. If you bring curiosity and follow-through, you'll fit.
Health, dental, and vision coverage. 401(k) with employer contribution. Hybrid work setup. Flexible PTO. A team that takes the work seriously but not themselves.
