Job summary

Solid State is seeking a Social Media Manager & Video Specialist to join our Southern California team, focusing on short‑form video content for hospitality and lifestyle brands. You will edit, craft concepts, shoot on location, and manage client social accounts with a creative edge.

You'll split time roughly 70% on video editing and 30% on social planning, captions, scheduling, and community management, ensuring trendiness and brand consistency across platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in video editing, content creation, social media, or agency environment.
• Strong short-form video editing skills with a portfolio for Instagram Reels or TikTok.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
• Understanding of pacing, storytelling, hooks, transitions, and audio in social videos.
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging platforms.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw video footage into engaging Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, and short-form content.
• Create multiple styles of short-form content across brands and campaigns.
• Capture content at client locations for on-site shoots.
• Plan shots, hooks, and content ideas that fit client concepts.
• Collaborate with teams on campaigns, promotions, and launches.
• Maintain brand standards and deliver high-volume video assets.
