Reports To: Head of Results
Location: San Antonio, TX
Type: Full-Time
If you're the kind of person who can't scroll through a brand's social feed without immediately thinking about what you'd do differently, you'll probably like this role. This person will own organic social strategy and execution across a diverse portfolio of brands: developing content concepts, writing copy, managing communities, analyzing performance, spotting opportunities, and continually deciding what we should do next.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to fill a content calendar and call it a day. We want someone curious about why content performs, pays attention when it doesn't, and has the autonomy and judgment to shift their time toward the work that will cultivate the strongest online communities (Tribes) for the brands we serve.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Own organic social strategy and day-to-day execution across a portfolio of partner brands, primarily across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Source, coordinate, and manage influencer relationships on behalf of the social brands we serve.
- Develop content concepts that connect each brand's goals, audience, voice, platform, and larger marketing strategy.
- Write sharp, brand-aligned social copy and confidently adapt between very different brand voices.
- Analyze social performance regularly and translate the numbers into insights: what's working, what isn't, why, and what we should do differently.
- Take ownership of improving social performance rather than simply completing planned deliverables.
- Manage day-to-day community engagement across partner accounts, from responding to comments, messages, and reviews to proactively identifying opportunities to join relevant conversations.
- Keep a pulse on platform changes, emerging formats, cultural conversations, and trends, identifying which are genuinely worth pursuing for each brand.
- Concept social-first Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, and other content rather than simply adapting traditional marketing assets for social. Capture informal photo and video content when a social-first or timely opportunity calls for it.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketers and creatives to bring larger brand and campaign ideas to life on social.
- Present content concepts, strategies, and performance insights internally and to partners when needed.
- Manage multiple brands with different posting cadences, priorities, audiences, and levels of social investment without losing sight of where your time will have the greatest impact.
What We’re Looking For
We're less interested in someone who checks every traditional social media box. We're looking for someone with the right combination of instinct, curiosity, analytical thinking, initiative, and the drive to keep learning as social media evolves.
You’ll probably thrive here if you:
- Have a few years of hands‑on social media experience and a strong working knowledge of major social platforms.
- Are an exceptional writer who can move comfortably between different voices, industries, audiences, and formats.
- Understand that good social media is equal parts creative instinct and performance analysis.
- Can look at a social report and tell us more than what went up or down. You want to understand why.
- Have strong creative instincts and can turn a business objective, audience insight, trend, or half‑formed idea into a compelling social concept.
- Have enough design and editing ability to move quickly when needed. You don't need to be a professional designer or videographer, but Canva and light editing shouldn't scare you.
- Are comfortable capturing social‑first content yourself when the moment calls for it.
- Understand internet culture and naturally pay attention to how brands, creators, and people are using social platforms.
- Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple brands and competing priorities at once.
- Can prioritize based on impact rather than simply working through a checklist.
- Communicate ideas clearly and feel comfortable presenting your thinking and answering questions.
- Take ownership. If something isn't performing, your instinct is to investigate and adjust, not just keep posting.
What Makes This Role Unique
At Tribu, our social managers help brands grow tribes. You’ll manage social strategy for a range of brands with different voices and goals. You'll have room to actually influence the work. We're not hiring someone to simply execute a content calendar. You'll have a voice in what our partners should be doing, and the freedom to bring new ideas to the table. You’ll work with an in-house creative team that wins awards and a digital team that knows how to drive results. It’s a role for someone who loves both the art and the analytics of social.
Success in This Role Looks Like
Success isn't measured by how many posts you publish.

- Audience and community growth where growth supports the brand's goals
- Social content that contributes to larger campaign and business objectives
- Clear performance insights and thoughtful recommendations for what we should do next

Ultimately, we want you to be able to answer three questions for every brand you manage:
What are we trying to accomplish?
Is what we’re doing working?
What should we do next?
