Role Overview

TechEquity Ai is seeking a Social Media Specialist to lead and execute our digital engagement strategy across various platforms. This role is responsible for creating compelling content, managing social media accounts, and driving audience growth to amplify our mission. The Social Media Specialist will work with the marketing team to develop campaigns that engage stakeholders, promote events such as the Ai Summit and Ai Workshop, and build brand awareness. The ideal candidate is creative, data-driven, and passionate about leveraging social media to foster community engagement.

This role is structured for at least 25 hours per week for a minimum of four months, with the option to extend.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for individuals who excel in dynamic environments. While a volunteer position, it upholds the high standards of Silicon Valley’s tech and nonprofit sector. We seek independent, resourceful problem-solvers with relevant experience who are ready to apply their knowledge and take on multiple responsibilities to support the team. Success in this role requires adaptability, initiative, independence and a willingness to step in where needed. This opportunity is not structured as a training program; it is an opportunity to engage in high-impact work, gain real-world exposure in a results-driven AI and technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Strategy: Develop and implement a social media content calendar, crafting engaging posts, graphics, and videos that align with TechEquity Ai’s brand and mission.
2. Platform Management: Manage day-to-day operations of social media channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and foster meaningful interactions with the community.
3. Analytics & Optimization: Track social media performance, analyze metrics, and provide insights to improve engagement and reach. Optimize content based on trends and audience behavior.
4. Event Promotion: Support marketing efforts for major events such as the Ai Summit and Ai Workshop by creating promotional content and engaging with audiences.

Qualifications

1. 2–4 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or related roles.
2. Strong understanding of social media trends, analytics, and best practices.
3. Knowledge in graphic design tools (e.g., Figma and Adobe Express) and proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite).
4. Excellent writing and storytelling skills with an ability to create compelling content.
5. Experience in audience growth strategies and engagement tactics.
6. Knowledge of AI, technology, or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
