ARM Creative, a design, production, and media agency headquartered in Anchorage, AK, is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our social media team and contribute to content marketing and engagement across a diverse client portfolio.

This hybrid role blends storytelling with social performance, reporting to the Social Media Manager and involving content creation, strategy, analytics, calendars, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in social media or digital content production.
• Deep understanding of social platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram.
• Strong writing and storytelling across copy, photo, and video.
• Strong visual eye and in-feed aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Concept, write, shoot, and edit social-first content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts).
• Collaborate with account managers, designers, and other creatives to tailor platform-specific content for client brands.
• Stay ahead of trends and pitch ideas to keep clients relevant and engaging.
• Capture content at shoots and events including BTS, interviews, and social video.
• Engage with followers and manage community interactions (DMs, comments).
• Develop and maintain social media calendars and coordinate posting across channels.
• Conduct competitive audits and benchmarking to inform recommendations.
• Track content performance and use insights to guide strategy and future work.
• Assist with procurement and logistics for shoots.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our social media team. Reporting directly to the Social Media Manager, you’ll play an integral role in our content marketing and social media department—helping develop standout content while contributing to strategy and engagement across a diverse client portfolio. This is a hybrid creative/strategic role—ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of storytelling and social performance.

What You’ll Do

• Concept, write, shoot, and edit social-first content including photo, video, and graphics across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
• Collaborate with account managers, designers, and other creatives, and support client communications, to create platform-specific content for client brands
• Stay ahead of trends and proactively pitch ideas that help clients stay relevant and engaging
• Capture content at shoots and events including BTS, interviews, and social video
• Actively engage with followers and help manage community interactions (DMs, comments, etc.)
• Develop and maintain social media calendars and coordinate posting across multiple channels
• Conduct competitive audits and benchmarking to inform recommendations
• Track and report on content performance, using insights and analytics to guide strategy and refine future work
• Assist with procurement and logistics for shoots (talent, props, locations, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in social media, digital content production, or creative marketing
• Deep understanding of social platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram, and how to grow and engage audiences
• Strong writing skills and an eye for storytelling, across copy, photo, and video
• A strong visual eye, with a natural instinct for what looks good in-feed.
• Proficiency with content creation tools: iPhones, CapCut, Canva, etc.
• Strategic thinker who understands how to align social tactics with brand goals
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable capturing content in real-time and on-site, and working independently to execute full content cycles from idea to publish
• Comfortable being on camera and appearing in ARM and client content as needed
• Bonus: familiarity with project and social media management/reporting tools like HeyOrca, Dropbox, Asana, and Slack
