Job summary

African American Leadership Forum seeks a Digital Storyteller & Social Media Producer in Minneapolis. This full-time, hybrid role transforms community voices and research into multimedia narratives to advance Black narrative justice.

The position leads weekly video production, content creation, and platform management, driving engagement and systemic change. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in digital storytelling, experience with Adobe InDesign/Canva, and proficiency in social media analytics.

Qualifications

5–7 years in digital storytelling or related field.
Experience with email platforms Flodesk and MailChimp.
Experience with CRM platforms like Monday and HubSpot.
Experience producing video, photography, editing, multimedia storytelling.
Experience managing social media accounts and content calendars.
Experience in nonprofit, civic engagement, advocacy, or social impact.

Responsibilities

Produce short-form and long-form video content for campaigns and storytelling.
Develop social media language and content connecting work to Black narrative justice.
Capture and edit photos, video, interviews reflecting community experiences.
Create platform-specific content: reels, graphics, carousels, stories.
Publish content and maintain a content calendar aligned with priorities.
Monitor engagement and guide positive digital interactions.
Analyze performance metrics and suggest growth strategies.
Collaborate with community members and partners to reflect authentic voices.
