About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and culturally savvy Social Media Manager to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for esports and internet culture, with a keen eye for emerging trends and a talent for creating engaging social content. This role is pivotal in shaping Rivalry’s social brand strategy, managing content calendars, and building vibrant online communities across multiple platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and potentially YouTube. The Social Media Manager will collaborate closely with the Creative and Marketing teams, as well as external creators and country-specific social teams, to develop innovative campaigns, promotions, and content that elevate the Rivalry brand on a global scale. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence brand perception, foster community engagement, and contribute to the company’s rapid growth in the esports and online entertainment sectors.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media channels, preferably within an agency or client-side environment
  • Proficiency in social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and familiarity with YouTube and SEO copywriting
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and performance metrics
  • Experience leading and mentoring a global team of social media specialists
  • Excellent copywriting, scripting, and content creation skills
  • Well-trained eye for design and visual storytelling
  • Basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with Facebook/Instagram Creator Studio and social platform-specific tools
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, ideally within a timezone that is +/- 3 hours EST
  • Enthusiasm for esports, internet culture, and innovative social content
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily content calendars and maintain a consistent posting cadence across all social platforms
  • Champion the audience by ensuring social strategies meet both company objectives and community needs
  • Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, and external partners to develop dynamic social content and editorial calendars
  • Design and pitch innovative social campaigns, activations, and content concepts tailored to different regions and audiences
  • Coordinate with country social teams to develop localized campaigns and leverage regional partners for brand elevation
  • Create engaging social copy, scripts, and assets such as Instagram Stories, short videos, GIFs, and more
  • Monitor social conversations, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform content strategies
  • Curate on-brand content from diverse sources to keep the audience engaged and connected to the esports community
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of social media performance, providing weekly reports and insights to optimize strategies
  • Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with team members and stakeholders to align on goals and initiatives
