Job summary

Edelman is seeking an account executive level Social Media Manager to lead community engagement and social storytelling for client brands. You will act as the brand’s eyes, ears, and tone across multiple channels, delivering real-time insights and culturally relevant opportunities.

You will partner with strategy, analytics, and creative teams to plan, draft, and post social content, while staying ahead of platform updates and trends.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in digital, community management, or social media.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, X/Twitter).
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Exposure to social listening and content performance insights is a plus.
• Knowledge of influencers, creators, and tastemakers is beneficial.
• Experience with social media management/listening tools is advantageous.

Edelman is looking for an account executive level Social Media Manager to join a growing team of community experts that develop, execute, and support social media strategies on behalf of our clients.

As a Social Media Manager, you will be the brand’s eyes, ears, and tone of voice on social. You will engage and nurture communities across multiple social channels through relevant content and meaningful interactions.

You have a nose for real-time, culturally relevant opportunities and social trends and will bring social-first, community-led thinking to brainstorms and content ideation. You will also partner closely with integrated teams to develop, manage, and post approved social content, engage with customers and fans, proactively flag opportunities and insights to the team, and work with strategy and analytics to provide insights and recommendations grounded in community insight.

To be successful in this role, you will have solid research, writing, and editing skills and an appreciation for how social media impacts the overall brand experience. You will be flexible and agile, and able to work collaboratively with all teams to ensure that the brand’s communication objectives and strategies are met.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and improve documentation across content and engagements, ensuring all updates and changes are reflected in master documents and tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams to provide learnings and recommendations based on community insight, social listening, and applicable data.
• Stay up to date on emerging creators, trends and formats, and platform updates.

Qualifications

• At least two years of work experience in digital, community management, or social media.
• A passion for social media from brand and cultural perspectives.
• Solid grasp of core social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, etc.), including how they are used, their limitations, content formats, and technical requirements.
• The ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of the importance of monitoring social conversation for relevant insights.
• Knowledge of influencers, creators, and tastemakers across social platforms is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with social media management and listening tools such as Khoros, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, and Archive is a plus.
• Passion for entertainment, retail/fashion, and travel is a bonus.

$50,000 - $65,000 per year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
