If you live and breathe short-form video, have a sharp editing eye, and know how to ride the algorithmic wave—we want to work with you. Vargas Media Group / VMG Entertainment is hiring a social-savvy, trend-focused, and creatively driven content editor and platform manager to help craft bold, engaging short-form videos across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

This is your chance to be paid to do what you already love, edit viral-ready content, make it pop with trending sounds and visuals, and help our brand stay ahead of the curve.

What You'll Do: Edit Engaging Short-Form Video

• Edit raw footage (provided) into captivating Reels, TikToks, and Shorts using CapCut, Premiere, Canva, After Effects, or similar tools
• Add motion graphics, transitions, text overlays, sound effects, and trending audio to maximize impact
• Repurpose existing footage into platform-optimized vertical content
• Ensure everything stays aligned with brand style and voice, but feels fresh and fun

Manage and Optimize Social Platforms

• Schedule and publish content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook using native tools or scheduling apps (Later, Meta Suite, etc.)
• Keep tabs on trending sounds, hashtags, and content styles—and adapt our content to capitalize on them
• Craft smart captions, relevant hashtags, and strong visual thumbnails where needed
• Track performance and adjust strategy based on real-time insights

Contribute to Creative Strategy

• Collaborate with our digital media, PR, and design teams to align content with campaign goals
• Participate in ideation sessions and bring new video concepts to the table
• Maintain consistency in tone, quality, and overall visual storytelling
• A skilled video editor with a strong understanding of TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts formatting
• Experienced with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, and other video editing tools
• Deeply familiar with social media trends, short-form pacing, and what hooks an audience
• Able to work independently, take direction, meet deadlines, and turn feedback into content
• Passionate about storytelling, cultural moments, and crafting videos that make people stop scrolling
• A skilled short-form video editor with at least 3 years of experience in social media marketing or platform management

Bonus If You Have:

• Experience with lifestyle, entertainment, or personality-driven content
• A background working with influencers or public figures
• Understanding of multicultural audiences and how to tailor content for niche markets
• Experience working on real campaigns for brands, creators, or entertainment properties
• Contract-based, monthly retainer, part-time (hours vary by content schedule)
• Remote-first with some optional in-person team check-ins (Atlanta preferred)
• Pay based on experience and scope
