Job summary

Better Days, a boutique creative and social media marketing agency, seeks a Social Media Intern in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role involves turning photos and footage into engaging content, writing captions, and scheduling posts for hotel, restaurant, and lifestyle brands.

You’ll also support daily agency operations, coordinate projects, and help keep content calendars on track, bringing fresh ideas and a strong design eye to the team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience creating, shooting, and editing social media content.
• Proficiency in CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and current trends.
• Creative eye for visual storytelling, design, and aesthetics.
• Strong writing skills and ability to adapt to different brand voices.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Comfortable capturing high-quality photo and video content on an iPhone.
• Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with reliable transportation for occasional on-site shoots.

Responsibilities

• Create Social Content: Turn existing photo and video assets into engaging Instagram Reels, carousels, Stories, and static posts.
• Edit Photo & Video: Edit short-form video and photography to create polished, on-brand content.
• Write & Schedule Content: Develop captions, upload content, and manage scheduling across client accounts.
• Capture Content: Occasionally join us on-site at client properties throughout DFW to capture iPhone photo and video content.
• Coordinate Projects: Help organize content calendars, manage creative assets, track deliverables, and keep projects moving.
• Support Agency Operations: Assist with scheduling, research, client coordination, administrative tasks, and other day-to-day needs.
• Bring Fresh Ideas: Stay on top of social media trends and contribute creative ideas for our clients.

About the Role

We're looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to join our growing team!

You'll help bring our clients' social media strategies to life by turning existing photography and video footage into engaging content, writing captions, and scheduling posts.

Beyond content creation, you'll also help keep things running behind the scenes, supporting day-to-day agency operations, coordinating projects, and tackling the little details that keep our team moving.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves social media, has an eye for design, and enjoys a mix of creative and organizational work.

What You'll Do

• Create Social Content: Turn existing photo and video assets into engaging Instagram Reels, carousels, Stories, and static posts.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience creating, shooting, and editing social media content (personal, freelance, or professional experience all welcome).
• Proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.
• A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends.
• A creative eye for visual storytelling, design, and aesthetics.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt to different brand voices.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Comfortable capturing high-quality photo and video content on an iPhone.
• Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with reliable transportation for occasional on-site shoots.
• Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week.
