Job summary

Soko Glam in New York City is seeking a Social Media Intern to support day-to-day content creation and community engagement across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. This 12-week program runs 20 hours per week starting immediately, with hands-on experience in content planning, storytelling, and trendspotting.

You will collaborate with the marketing team to bring the brand voice online, assist with shoots, track performance metrics, and help with influencer outreach.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Marketing, Communications, or related field; keen interest in social media
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Creative, organized, and able to multitask
• Familiarity with CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube trends

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day social content creation across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Collaborate with marketing to execute campaigns and maintain brand voice online
• Pitch trends, brainstorm ideas for weekly content
• Support content shoots and organize assets
• Monitor engagement and assist with campaign reporting
• Research creators for influencer initiatives and help with outreach

• Reporting to: Associate Director, Marketing
• Program Dates: 12 weeks, immediate start
• Hours: 20 hours hours per week
• This is your chance to dive into the world of social media within the beauty industry! As a Social Media Intern at Soko Glam, you'll play an integral role in supporting our day-to-day content creation, community engagement, and campaign execution across key platforms like Instagram and TikTok
• You'll collaborate closely with the marketing team to bring our brand voice to life online, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in content planning, social storytelling, and trendspotting. This role is ideal for someone creative, organized, and social media-savvy who's eager to build skills in digital marketing and brand communications
• Pitching, filming, and editing social content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Paid Ads, and other platforms
• Promote current brand initiatives and promotional campaigns through engaging, on-brand social content that drives awareness and site traffic
• Monitor and engage with our social media community in a brand-aligned, timely, and thoughtful way
• Pitch social trends and stay on the pulse of influencer content and competitive activity for weekly content ideation
• Support content shoots and help organize visual assets
• Track performance metrics and contribute to post-campaign reporting and insights
• Support influencer marketing initiatives by researching and identifying relevant creators, building outreach lists, coordinating product seeding, and assisting with creator communications
