Job summary

Patriot Enterprises, LLC seeks an experienced Social Media Director to support CNSP PAO, VI, KM, and Multimedia services. The role requires collaboration with Navy public affairs and external partners, content creation across media formats, and strategic social media leadership.

Responsibilities include developing and executing social media plans, producing multimedia content, and guiding PA during briefings. Occasional travel to support CNSP tasking is expected.

Qualifications

• Produce and distribute still photo, text, and video content for Surface Force platforms.
• Analyze social media effectiveness and report results.

Job Summary:

Patriot Enterprises, LLC is seeking an experienced Social Media Director to support Public Affairs (PA)/Visual Information (VI), Knowledge Management (KM), and Multimedia services for the Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) Public Affairs Office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with website developers, Navy mass communication specialists, public affairs officers, and external partners.
• Act as the social media subject matter expert, instructor, and technical support resource for the Surface Force, and represent CNSP PAO at Fleet Public Affairs Centers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, instructor, and technical support representative to the Force.
• Provide technical support to commands on shore and afloat in setting up new channels and/or helping Unit Public Affairs Representatives to gain access to locked or deactivated accounts.

Basic Qualifications:

• Security Clearance: Secret
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/or experience
• Must grow CNSP social media channels through aligned, eye-catching, and engaging content.
• Must communicate the value proposition of the Surface Force on social media.
• Must be able to take CNSP PA-approved stories/text and create visually appealing electronic media by using a variety of methods such as color, type, photo illustration, infographics, and various layout techniques.
• Must possess proofreading skills and ensure that requested text changes are incorporated into posts undergoing revision.
• Must possess advanced knowledge and use of content gathering techniques, lighting equipment, and lighting techniques.
• Experience working collaboratively with all internal and external team members, including website developers, Navy mass communication specialists, and public affairs officers, etc., to effectively communicate the Surface Force strategy.
• Must build a social media strategy for Surface Force communication plans.
• Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
• Must fulfill requests for social media guidance.
• Must produce and distribute still photo, text, and video content for Surface Force social media platforms.
• Must be able to analyze social media effectiveness.Must represent CNSP PAO at Fleet Public Affairs Centers (FLTPACENs) as the SME for social media.
• Must support the PAO during prospective commanding officer/executive officer/command master chief briefings on all questions surrounding social media.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally to support CNSP PA tasking.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of social media management experience, ideally in a military, government, or public affairs setting.
• Active Secret clearance at time of hire.
• Familiarity with SECNAVINST 5720.44C (Navy Public Affairs Policy and Regulations)
