Job summary

Connect for Freedom is seeking a creative, proactive Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator to support and grow our Instagram presence. This part-time role requires approximately 5–10 hours per week with compensation starting at $20/hour, depending on experience.

You will plan, create, schedule, and publish posts and Stories, engage with followers, and develop on-brand visuals and captions that reflect our mission and programs.

Qualifications

  • Experience creating and managing Instagram content for a brand or nonprofit.
  • Ability to design engaging visuals and craft compelling captions.
  • Strong writing, communication, and audience engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar content-creation tools.

About Connect for Freedom

Connect for Freedom is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and providing prevention education to help combat online exploitation and human trafficking.

Position Overview

Connect for Freedom is seeking a creative, proactive, and reliable Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator to support and grow our Instagram presence.

This is a part-time, hourly role requiring approximately 5–10 hours per week, with compensation starting at $20 per hour, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, understands how to create engaging Instagram content, and can bring fresh ideas to the table while maintaining a consistent and established brand identity.

This person will help plan, create, schedule, and publish Instagram posts and Stories, engage with our audience, and identify opportunities to increase our organic reach and grow our presence.

Responsibilities
  • Create polished, engaging, and on-brand Instagram posts and Stories
  • Proactively develop and pitch creative content ideas that align with our mission, programs, and audience
  • Develop graphics and visual content that follow established brand guidelines
  • Write clear and engaging captions that reflect the organization's voice
  • Plan, schedule, and publish content consistently
  • Engage with followers and relevant accounts to help build our audience
  • Identify opportunities to organically increase reach, engagement, and followers
  • Stay current on relevant Instagram trends and content opportunities
  • Help develop and maintain a consistent content calendar
  • Review Instagram performance and recommend opportunities to improve content, reach, and engagement
  • Collaborate with our team on content related to programs, events, partnerships, educational resources, and announcements
Qualifications
  • Experience creating and managing Instagram content for a business, nonprofit, organization, or brand
  • Strong content creation and graphic design capabilities
  • Strong eye for design and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow established brand guidelines and maintain a cohesive visual identity
  • Creative and proactive, with the ability to independently generate fresh content ideas
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Understanding of Instagram best practices, audience engagement, and organic growth
  • Experience with Canva or similar content creation tools
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with our team
  • Experience with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is a plus
