Job description

Prim + Co is a communications firm specializing in public relations, content creation, social media, and influencer marketing. Being a part of this powerhouse agency will connect you to a roster of distinguished restaurants, hotels, real estate projects, and lifestyle brands. We tell compelling original stories to connect brands to their target audiences. We’re passionate, professional, and purpose-driven. We’re dedicated to our work, the agency, our clients, and each other. At Prim, we’re incredibly intentional about our company culture, and we whole-heartedly believe in a work-life blend, where you’ll be empowered to continue learning and growing through travel, mentorship and training, along with a connected company culture.

Who are you?

Creative, detail-driven and visually fluent. You live on social media — not just as a user but as a student of the craft. You can walk into a photoshoot and immediately know what story you’re telling and how you’re going to tell it. You write captions that sound human, design Stories that stop the scroll, and build content calendars that hold together as a cohesive brand narrative. You’re organized enough to manage multiple accounts at once, collaborative enough to take strategic direction from account leads, and creative enough to make that direction come alive. If this sounds like you, read on.

The Role

The Social Media Content Strategist is a mid-level creative who is equal parts producer, writer and visual thinker. You are the content engine behind several of Prim’s client accounts — owning monthly content calendars from strategy to final approval, participating in and capturing content at client photoshoots, and producing short-form video and reels that reflect each brand’s unique voice. You work closely with Account Managers and the Sr. Account Supervisor to ensure your content ladders up to broader account strategy, and you bring ideas of your own. This is a hybrid role requiring local availability, with one required in-office day per week (Tuesday) and regular on-site presence at client photoshoots.

Duties and Responsibilities
Content Calendar Ownership
  • Own the monthly content calendar creation process for a portfolio of client accounts, from first draft through client-facing delivery
  • Develop on-brand copy, captions and creative direction for each account, reflecting each client’s voice, aesthetic and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with the AM or Sr. Account Supervisor at the top of each monthly planning cycle to align on strategy, priorities and brand moments before building the calendar
  • Submit calendars for AM review prior to client delivery and implement feedback efficiently
  • Schedule and publish content via Prim’s social media management platform and Meta Business Manager
  • Design and produce monthly Instagram Stories for designated accounts
  • Manage the external client editing process and maintain organized content archives for each account
Content Production and Photoshoots
  • Participate in and capture content at quarterly and ad hoc client photoshoots, working alongside Account Managers, the Sr. Account Supervisor and the broader shoot team
  • Contribute to shot list development, creative direction and shoot itineraries in collaboration with the account lead
  • Capture photo and video assets on-site, with a strong eye for brand storytelling and platform-native formats
  • Execute post-production of shoot content including editing, retouching, cropping and delivery per brand guidelines using Canva, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
  • Produce short-form video content and Reels using Canva, designated mobile apps and native social media tools
  • Identify and capture ad hoc content opportunities for clients outside of scheduled shoots
  • Upload and manage photo and video assets in Box for team access
  • Take ownership of the agency’s creative equipment ecosystem — evaluating, recommending and maintaining tools including cameras, stabilizers, macro and phone-mount accessories to ensure the team is equipped to produce professional-quality content across all client accounts. Proactively research emerging equipment and make a case for investment as needs evolve.
  • Stay current on platform algorithm changes, content trends, and emerging formats — proactively bringing relevant ideas to account teams
  • Contribute to social strategy conversations with account leads, offering a creative point of view grounded in what’s performing on-platform
  • Support TikTok content creation as part of a shared rotation across the team
  • Help identify and apply social media trends, hashtags, and platform tools that support account goals
Reporting and Administrative
  • Pull data and generate AI-assisted monthly executive summary reports for designated accounts; submit to AM or Sr. Account Supervisor for strategic review layer
  • Schedule content across all assigned accounts via Prim’s social media management platform
  • Maintain organized Asana task management for all account deliverables
Experience
  • College degree or comparable experience required
  • 2–4 years of experience in social media, content creation or digital marketing — agency experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated portfolio of social media content: content calendars, photography, reels/video, Stories and caption writing
  • Experience planning and capturing content at photoshoots or on-site content productions
  • Experience producing short-form video and Reels content
  • Proficient in Canva, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for content editing and design
  • Proficient in Sprout Social, Meta Business Manager and Instagram/TikTok native tools
  • Strong writing skills — able to adapt tone and voice across multiple brand identities
  • Hospitality, lifestyle or restaurant industry experience preferred
Requirements
  • Must be local to the Denver metro area — this role requires regular on-site presence at client photoshoots and one required in-office day per week
  • Strong visual eye with the ability to execute on-brand content independently
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
  • Comfortable receiving strategic direction from account leads and translating it into creative execution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn from both a creator and business perspective
Compensation and Benefits
  • $55,000 – $60,000/year salary commensurate with experience
  • Three weeks paid vacation; four weeks of PTO after three years of employment
  • Health, vision and dental insurance
  • Paid maternity leave
  • Hybrid work environment with one required in-office day per week (Tuesday)
  • Commission on new business
  • SIMPLE IRA retirement contribution match
  • Birthday PTO
  • Monthly cell phone stipend
  • Client trade
  • Flex week between Christmas and New Year’s Day
  • Mental wellness days
