High Country Outfitters is seeking a creative Social Media Marketing Intern to support the Marketing team in bringing the High Country brand and outdoor retail experience to life across social media.

The intern will create and edit short-form photo and video content and follow High Country’s social media strategy to highlight products, people, and events while gaining hands-on experience in retail marketing and brand storytelling.

Qualifications

• Experience creating photo and video content using an iPhone is required.
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends.
• Basic photo and video editing experience and willingness to learn new tools.
• Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with store and Marketing teams.
• Comfortable in front of and behind the camera with good written and verbal skills.
• Ability to take direction, manage time, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Create on-brand photo and video content for the company’s social channels.
• Coordinate with store teams to identify content opportunities and participation.
• Edit content using an iPhone and prepare assets for posting.
• Publish content on schedule after supervisor review to maintain brand consistency.
• Stay current on trends and contribute ideas to the content calendar.
• Capture content of new arrivals, events, and store experiences.
• Engage with the community and monitor mentions and mentions for opportunities.
• Organize media and assist with basic post performance tracking.
• Maintain a reusable content library for future campaigns.
