Social Media Content Coordinator

Location: Austin, TX | Hybrid — 2 days/week in office

Position: Part-Time, Hourly

Pay: $20/hour

Hours: Approximately 12–20 hours/week

Growth Opportunity: Intended path to Full-Time W-2 within 1 year

About the Role

Social Compass Management is looking for a highly organized, extremely detail-oriented Social Media Content Coordinator to join our growing team in Austin.

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys catching the tiny details other people miss. You’ll help own the final stages of our content production process — making sure client content is accurate, complete, properly reviewed, scheduled correctly, and ready to go live across multiple social media platforms.

This is not primarily a content strategy or ideation role . Your job is to own the details between “content is ready” and “content is live.”

Key Responsibilities
Content Scheduling & Publishing
  • Schedule client content using Later or similar scheduling platforms across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure the correct caption, video/design, cover photo, posting date, time, platform, and other post settings are attached to every scheduled post.
  • Add provided cover photos and create covers from established Canva templates when needed.
  • Make platform-specific adjustments as required.
  • Complete publishing tasks that cannot be automated, including adding audio to live Instagram carousel posts within 5 minutes of their scheduled publishing time.
  • Update corresponding ClickUp task status once successfully scheduled across platforms
  • Confirm published content appears correctly across platforms and fix as needed
  • Set up ManyChat automations for applicable posts, ensuring trigger words, automated comments and DM responses, and links are accurate before content goes live
Community Engagement
  • Engage with comments on client content 2x per week to help increase engagement and maintain an active presence.
  • Respond to general comments using the client’s established brand voice and communication guidelines.
  • Keep responses natural, thoughtful, and relevant rather than generic or repetitive.
  • Use good judgment to identify comments that should not be answered on the client’s behalf.
  • Leave medical, clinical, sensitive, highly specific, or uncertain questions for the client to answer directly.
  • Escalate anything you’re unsure about rather than guessing.
Content Quality Control

You’ll own quality control at two stages of the content review process to ensure every post is accurate, complete, and client-ready.

1. Initial Content Review

Before content is sent to the client for approval:

  • Proofread captions and on-screen text for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors.
  • Review videos and Canva designs for missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information.
  • Confirm captions, creative assets, cover photos, CTAs, and other post elements align.
  • Cross-reference important details — for example, ensuring a ManyChat trigger word mentioned in a video matches the trigger word in the caption.
  • Catch missing assets, incorrect dates, names, links, offers, or other inconsistencies.
  • Ensure every post is complete and polished before the client sees it.
2. Post-Revision Review

After client feedback has been implemented:

  • Compare the client’s original feedback against the revised content point by point .
  • Confirm every requested revision was completed correctly and nothing was overlooked.
  • Review the entire post again — not just the elements that were changed.
  • Ensure revisions haven’t introduced new errors or inconsistencies.
  • Flag anything that doesn’t fully match the client’s request before content is finalized and scheduled.
Who You Are

Extreme attention to detail is the #1 requirement for this role - but personality and team fit are equally important to us!

You:

  • Are exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and dependable — you naturally double-check your work and catch things others miss
  • Have a strong work ethic, take initiative, and are solutions-oriented
  • Love working as part of a team and have a genuine “how can I help?” mentality
  • Aren’t afraid to ask questions or proactively communicate when something is unclear
  • Are highly receptive to feedback, don’t take it personally, and use it to improve
  • Take ownership of mistakes and focus on solutions rather than excuses or blame
  • Are comfortable with detail-heavy work and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Are excited to grow with a fast-moving company and take on more responsibility over time
Experience & Skills

Experience with the following is preferred, but we’re more interested in finding the right person than someone who checks every box:

  • Later, Meta Business Suite, or similar social media scheduling platforms
  • Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn
  • ClickUp or similar project management platforms
  • Reviewing short-form video and social media creative
  • ManyChat or similar automation platforms is a plus
  • Strong experience or familiarity with Frontier AI models like Claude
  • Mac laptop computer required (no tablets) and reliable Wifi
