Responsibilities

Social Media Channel Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms, overseeing content creation, measuring response, and actively engaging with online communities to build brand awareness, foster customer relationships, and achieve marketing goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Champion social media: Act as the internal champion for social media across the organization, driving our overall approach to social media as a brand. This includes determining appropriate campaigns that connect with core audiences in meaningful ways and launching recurring campaigns that drive brand engagement and response.
  • Content creation and planning: Proven track record of crafting engaging content for various social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and stories, aligned with brand guidelines and target audience interests.
  • Campaign development and execution: Proven track record of designing and implementing social media campaigns to promote products, services, or special events, tracking their performance and making adjustments as needed.
  • Community & influencer management: Familiarity with launching and managing influencer programs driving active community engagement including responding to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms, actively engaging with followers to build a strong online community.
  • Managing a distributed social marketing program (national & local): Understand the dynamics of local and national accounts and how to maximize performance across audiences and markets.
  • Social listening and trend analysis: Monitor social media conversations to identify emerging trends, customer sentiment, and potential issues impacting the brand.
  • Measuring response: Partner with marketing, sales and data scientists to develop reporting and success metrics and share necessary reporting with key stakeholders.
  • Platform optimization: Staying updated on the latest features and algorithms of various social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Collaboration with marketing, sales, and operations teams: Highly proficient in working closely with marketing and sales departments to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals and brand messaging. Develop best practices for the organization by guiding our employees as they engage with social media, creating training content for sales, marketing, people operations and influencers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years social media experience in Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/X or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience with campaign planning for social media deployments.
  • 4+ years of experience developing and deploying content calendars.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing social media activation, deployment and monitoring platforms (such as Sprout Social/Hootsuite/Hubspot).
  • 2+ years of experience managing influencer and employee advocacy programs.
  • Ability to build a social program and own your space.
  • Ability to create compelling copy and engage with audiences across various platforms.
  • Proficiency in content creation including social media shorts, and graphic design principles that are currently trending to create visually appealing content.
  • In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple social media campaigns simultaneously.
  • Understanding of broader digital marketing concepts like SEO and social media platform algorithms.
  • Proficiency in interpreting data to measure campaign performance and make informed decisions.
