Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary is seeking a Social Media Assistant to join our mission-driven team. This is an entry-level, remote position perfect for someone who loves social media, believes in the power of connection, and has a deep love for senior dogs.

In this role, you’ll help grow and maintain our online community across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Your primary focus will be responding to comments—offering kind, engaging, and thoughtful replies that foster connection, spread awareness, and reflect the heart of our sanctuary.

Responsibilities

• Respond to comments and messages on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok in a timely, kind, and heartfelt manner.
• Help build a positive and supportive community that aligns with our mission
• Share kindness, encouragement, and education through every interaction
• Be responsive and flexible—our social posts go live at various times throughout the day
• Assist with comment moderation or flagging harmful content.

Requirements

• Passionate about senior dogs and animal rescue
• Comfortable and confident using social media (especially Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok)
• A compassionate, empathetic communicator who believes in the power of kindness.
• Strong writing skills and emotional intelligence.
• Experience in community management or online customer engagement is a plus—but heart and commitment matter most.
