LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF DISABILITY AND AGING, TENNESSEE EARLY INTERVENTION DIVISION, DAVIDSON COUNTY
Proof of education is required. A Motor Vehicle Records screening will be conducted prior to employment.
This position is designed as Hybrid (In office and Remote).
This position requires a criminal background check. You will be required to provide information about your criminal history to be considered.
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree AND one year of professional experience in health care for children, adolescents, or geriatrics; social work; or social/psychological counseling; or one year of experience in early intervention/service coordination with individuals with disabilities; or one year of teaching early childhood education or assessing individuals with disabilities.
Substitution of Graduate Course Work for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in a related field may substitute for experience, on a year-for-year basis, up to one year.
Necessary Special Qualifications: Applicants may be required to possess a valid driver's license, complete a criminal history disclosure, release criminal records, submit fingerprint samples, and review the Department of Health's vulnerable persons registry.
Summary: Responsible for professional social counseling work and service coordination of average difficulty under general supervision.
Distinguishing Features: This is an entry-level professional role in social counseling, involving interviewing and providing counseling for clients in various programs. It differs from higher levels that involve supervision.
