Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for a creative graphic designer to craft social content for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen, including graphics, animations, and video elements.

You’ll collaborate with editorial and social teams to translate ideas into engaging visuals, design lead images for Cosmopolitan.com, and assist with post-production in a fast-paced editorial environment. The role is based at Hearst Tower in NYC, with 30 hours/week in the office.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of graphic design or related experience.
• Strong portfolio in social graphics, digital content, or animation.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid understanding of major social platforms and best practices.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Collaborative communication with editorial and creative teams.
• Curiosity about evolving design and social trends.
• Based at Hearst Tower in NYC; office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling social media assets—including graphics, animations, and video content for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen.
• Collaborate with editorial and social teams to translate ideas into engaging visuals.
• Design digital assets for Cosmopolitan.com, including lead images for key stories.
• Partner with the video editor on post-production tasks to support workflow.
• Develop creative assets for events and promotions while maintaining brand identity.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Apply current design trends and platform specifications.
• Maintain creativity and attention to detail while following processes.
