Social Analytics and Escalations Manager, YouTube Operations

This role involves analyzing social media data, managing escalations, and supporting YouTube's operations by leveraging social analytics tools such as Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Netbase, or Meltwater. You will work cross-functionally within the Global Communications & Public Affairs team to communicate with journalists, develop campaigns, and counter misinformation. Responsibilities include creating communication plans, synthesizing social data into reports, and representing the business externally.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications.
  • Experience in social media or customer support.
  • Experience with social analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Netbase, Meltwater).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience writing boolean logic and synthesizing social data into executive reports.
  • Experience in real-time social monitoring/alerting workflows and brand crisis reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional details: The role is full-time, based in San Bruno or Los Angeles, with a US salary range of $110,000-$157,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Responsibilities include representing a product or business area, supporting agency collaborations, responding to editorial inquiries, creating communication materials, and analyzing business performance.
