Job summary

i9 Sports seeks an Official to enforce game rules, coach players on the field, and promote a positive culture during every game day. This role supports youth leagues with safety, fairness, and fun across scheduled games and events.

You will keep time and score, convey clear guidance to players and spectators, and act as a positive role model during all activities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Motivated self-starter; can work independently.
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure safety.
• Positive attitude and ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and some evenings (~7 weeks).
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring fun, learning, and safety for all players.
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values.

Job Summary

The Official is a critical role in any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.
