Job summary

i9 Sports is hiring for the Fall Season in Utah, starting Sept 12, with games and practices held on Saturdays—1 day per week. The Official role emphasizes enforcing rules, promoting a positive culture, and serving as an on-field coach for kids ages 3-15 across multiple sports.

This seasonal, part-time position requires strong communication, safety awareness, and a proactive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for players, coaches, and spectators alike.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Self-starter; able to work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work weekends and some evenings for the season (7 weeks).
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Enforce i9 Sports rules to ensure a fun, learning, and safe environment.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts including sportsmanship values.
• Keep time and score during the game and manage instruction and competition levels.
• Provide superior customer service and maintain a positive atmosphere.

i9 Sports offers youth recreational sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-15 in today's most popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. Our focus is on fun, convenience, development, and good sportsmanship. i9 Sports is reinventing the youth sports experience for families across the country. We started leagues here in Utah in 2020 and now have over 5,000 kids a year playing in the South Salt Lake County area, and we are still growing.

Job Summary

The Official is a critical role in any sports field; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

We are hiring for our Fall Season starting Sept 12th! We have practices and games all on Saturdays! 1 day a week job!

Responsibilities

• Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety for all players
• Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
• Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Qualifications

• Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
• Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
• Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, :7 weeks)
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
